It comes standard with the CVT. Aluminum kick plates ($170) are the only factory option, although some port-installed accessories are also available. The Nissan Altima 2.5 S Sedan ($22,430) adds a six-speaker AM/FM/CD stereo with an auxiliary input jack, and keyless access and starting, as well as a greatly expanded options list. Options start with the Value Package ($490) for the 2.5 S Sedan, consisting of auto on/off headlights, leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio and cruise control switches, auto up/down front passenger window with auto reverse, Bluetooth Hands-free Phone System, auto dimming inside rearview mirror, HomeLink Universal Transceiver, and a compass in the rearview mirror.
The car is very short at just over 3.5 metres but handles better than you would expect due to the wheel placement as close to the corners as possible. The engine is responsive but you will not be buying this car for its power performance. With a 0-60 of just under 13 seconds and a top speed of 100mph it is certainly at the lower end of the market but its real strength lies in it fuel consumption - the Lounge version supplies up to 90 mpg on the open road.
