Many car manufacturers have began to phase out the spare tyre in new cars. Breakdown specialist the RAC were called by 80,000 motorists last year who had discovered they didn't have a spare tyre. There are few things more depressing on a car journey than the 'flud, flud, flud' sound of a flat tyre, but at least in the past you had a spare tyre and you could change your flat tyre and carry on with your journey.
The Mazda2 is very popular on the Australian auto scene, providing owners with a fuel efficient auto that is stylish and extremely competitive. It was first marketed in 1996 as Mazda, with newer small cars now called Mazda2.
Of course, we could just ban high-speed police cars, but would free-for-all amongst gun toting drunks caught up in bar room brawls be any better? Is anarchy environmentally friendly? No, but perhaps we could put real emphasis on manufacturers to produce more environmentally friendly vehicles. At least that way the speeders and the police who chase them will be doing less damage to the air we all share.
