The second category covers World War 2 vehicles, also known as post-vintage thoroughbreds. American Jeeps from this era later inspired one of the most well known cars on the roads today, the Land Rover.
Global warming is a major issue in the United States today, and lately, it seems it's been in the news more than ever. In 2008, a pivotal election year, every major or minor candidate running for office would be remiss not to address issues of fuel conservation, carbon emissions reduction, and alternative energy sources. New and used cars and trucks alike burn gasoline to enable motion, and gasoline burning is a major source of carbon dioxide emissions in the United States. Over time, the cumulative effects of global warming can include significant increases in Earth temperatures; the melting of polar ice caps, and severe weather incidents resulting in property destruction and losses of human life. One easy way to reduce CO2 emissions is to reduce the amount of fuel burned per day, per month, and per year.
First, remove the lid, or caps, from the master cylinder. Place a paper towel over the master cylinder to keep contaminates out. You may want to raise the vehicle and remove the front tires. If you do, be sure to block the rear tires, set the emergency brake, and put stands of some sort under the body of the vehicle just behind the front tires on front wheel drive vehicles. On rear wheel drives you can put your stand under the lower control arm (where the shock is bolted). You will need the proper tools to break the lines loose.
The average fuel economy of new cars and trucks in the United States and Canada has increased by over 130 percent for cars and 75 percent for trucks. This means a great savings to you at the gas pump since you are driving a much more efficient vehicle that you were several years ago. This doesnt mean that you should ignore cost saving tips when it comes to fuel consumption though! What it does mean is that you can achieve even greater savings!
